Thoughts on Balancing

Even a cursory reading of the Ra Material will reveal the importance that these entities place on the concept of Balancing.  For them, it is something heavily associated with the positive-path, and is a primary means by which the experience of Acceptance is able to be facilitated.

But what exactly is Balancing, and how does one go about practicing it?

In this post, I’ll draw upon quotes that Ra left us, as well as offering my own Thoughts/Experiences on the Subject.

Namaste.

Sensations of the Body

The physical body offers us much experience.  The senses that we have are quite acute, and both pain (and pleasure) are things which accompany us on almost a daily basis.  We feel, these things, quite viscerally.  It is not an abstract mental state.  Our body anchors us in the midst of flowing experience.  It helps root us in commonality.

And yet, even these fluctuations can help remind us of unbalanced leanings in regards to love and wisdom.  Whether there is overactivity (attachment), or underutilization of the physical vehicle.  We will feel these imbalances, in some way.  And so this too, is something that is ripe for Examination, and consequent Integration.

61.11 Questioner: It says here it would seem the proper balancing exercises for all the sensations of the body would be some form of inactivity such as meditation or contemplation. Is this correct?

Ra: I am Ra. This is largely incorrect. The balancing requires a meditative state in order for the work to be done.

However, the balancing of sensation has to do with an analysis of the sensation with especial respect to any unbalanced leaning between the love and the wisdom or the positive and the negative.

Then whatever is lacking in the balanced sensation is, as in all balancing, allowed to come into the being after the sensation is remembered and recalled in such detail as to overwhelm the senses.

True Universal Love

One of the main differentiators between the positive and the negative path lies in the Heart.  For positives, they are trying to open and crystallize this very important energy center; for negatives, they are doing everything possible to close and occlude it, to not feel the pain and difficulties of the other-self.  A negative individual is an island, in the sea of Creation, relishing the fact that they can do whatever they please, and not feel the repercussions back in themselves.  For positives, they can genuinely acknowledge that they are part of a Web of Beingness, and that nothing can be done in Isolation.  For them, the heart is the doorway to the Other-Self.

In this Quote (85.16), Ra speaks to the experience of Compassion, and how it relates to ‘true universal Love’.

To the student of the balancing process we may suggest that the most stringent honesty be applied. As compassion is perceived it is suggested that, in balancing, this perception be analyzed.

It may take many, many essays into compassion before true universal love is the product of the attempted opening and crystallization of this all-important springboard energy center.

Thus the student may discover many other components to what may seem to be all-embracing love. Each of these components may be balanced and accepted as part of the self and as transitional material as the entity’s seat of learn/teaching moves ever more fairly into the green ray.

And yet – even once that is done, there may or may not be Balancing involved with regards to Wisdom.  This is very much situational, and involves a finer understanding of the various elements at play in regards to other-selves.  Compassion is a desire to help; Wisdom is the actuated Intelligence that best knows how to accomplish this, given specific circumstances.

Ra’s Thoughts continue:

When it is perceived that universal love has been achieved the next balancing may or may not be wisdom.

If the adept is balancing manifestations it is indeed appropriate to balance universal love and wisdom. If the balancing is of mind or spirit there are many subtleties to which the adept may give careful consideration.

Love and wisdom, like love and light, are not black and white, shall we say, but faces of the same coin, if you will. Therefore, it is not, in all cases, that balancing consists of a movement from compassion to wisdom.

The ‘Braking’ of Karma

What is karma?  To me, karma is the result of taking deliberate separative action, whether that be in Thought or Deed.  It is a kind of feedback mechanism, to let us know what we have done.  So to me, there is nothing personal or malicious about this Metaphysical Principle; it is just another Tool for learning, in my eyes.

And yet, when we are in the throes of Karma (or what we perceive to be Karma), it’s not very pleasant!  There is quite often a lot of pain involved, whether that be physical, mental, or even spiritual.  How can we balance or alleviate that?

In this quote, Ra offers that forgiveness is the means by which this is put in place.  That if karma is the experience of separation, then forgiveness is the means by which that is rebridged, and thus absolved.

34.4 Questioner: Thank you. Would you define karma?

Ra: I am Ra. Our understanding of karma is that which may be called inertia.

Those actions which are put into motion will continue using the ways of balancing until such time as the controlling or higher principle which you may liken unto your braking or stopping is invoked.

This stoppage of the inertia of action may be called forgiveness. These two concepts are inseparable.

And I would fully concur with this.  Forgiveness is the Great Healer.

The Balancing of the Energy Centres

Here we start getting into the real crux of things, the real meat.  In my view, the energy centres represent 7 broad divisions of the third density mind.  It is the ‘field’ in which Consciousness is able to play, and be experienced.  We can form ‘distinct biases’ in each of these energy centres, which then ‘accumulate’ to represent our overall attitudes with regards to these 7 Broad Divisions.  But things that we have empowered, and created biases on, just don’t disappear.  We are the legacy of our Past Choices and Thoughts.

Some of our Thoughts are clear and lucid; and aligned with the principle of Acceptance.  When that is the case, the Light of the Creator is free to flow through that area, and even is quite Radiant.

And then there are thoughts and Patterns which are based on avoidance and separation; and these are things which absorb or dissipate the easy Flow of the Light of Creation.  We experience that as a Kind of Blockage in Consciousness; that things get caught in a repetitive swirl; we are not ‘free’, in other words.

These ‘blockages’, however, can be balanced, and thus, relieved.  It’s all a matter of paying Attention, and understanding the Symbolism (no easy feat!).   And yet – we are always receiving relevant Feedback on our Issues, and thus the Opportunities in Life to move towards Resolution of those Issues.  Again, this is not always easy or straightforward; and can take years of frustration before we recognise that something is being communicated to us, and that it’s deeply personal.  In a way, our Life is a 24/7 Feedback Mechanism on where things are in our mental state.  The Opportunities for learning are Always there.

I’ll just link to the relevant Ra quote here (15.12), as it’s quite lengthy.  It gives an Overview summary of each of the 7 Energy Centers, and some of the more Pronounced Blockages.  But when we are talking about the Energy Centers, we are talking about infinite degrees of Shading, and so blockages (and also acceptances) can be extremely subtle.  It’s all a matter of self-discernment.  But the feedback is there, for the one who knows what they’re looking for 🙂

15.12 Questioner: How does an individual go about balancing himself? What is the first step?

Balancing Between the Energy Centres

And things get even more interesting.  Not only does the positive entity desire to unblock each of the 7 Energy Centers, but Consideration also has to be given to the relative balance between those energy centres.  We don’t reach instant and full clarity in an Instant; perfect clarity is something which unfolds over Time.  And so we have to be mindful of how things Develop, and where we place our Focus.

In the quote after this one, Don comes up with the analogy of tuning a 7-stringed Instrument.  And so not only does each ‘String’ have to be developed, but they have to be tuned in relationship to each other, to be able to give a Full Representation to the possibilities of Experience.

But let’s get to the Quote in Question (54.15)

While it is a primary priority to activate or unblock each energy center, it is also a primary priority at that point to begin to refine the balances between the energies so that each tone of the chord of total vibratory beingness resonates in clarity, tune, and harmony with each other energy.

This balancing, tuning, and harmonizing of the self is most central to the more advanced or adept mind/body/spirit complex. Each energy may be activated without the beauty that is possible through the disciplines and appreciations of personal energies or what you might call the deeper personality or soul identity.

That is really beautifully said, truly beautiful.

In fact, so much so, that I have made it my Life’s Work to pursue that end.  And just for your information; haven’t got there yet 😛

Becoming unswayed, and Co-Creation

The Goal of the positive Use of Catalyst is to attain balance.  When Balance is present, one is unswayed – emotionally speaking – by Situations.  This is not a ‘numbness’ or suppression of Feelings; rather, having experienced (and consciously utilized) both ends of an Emotional Spectrum, it no longer has any capacity to trigger responses of non-acceptance.  One can register a Situation with Love, and not feel any need to move towards it (attraction, attachment), nor be repulsed by it, internally (rejection, avoidance).  One can just observe the Response of Greatest Service, and then act upon that.  It is Love in the Moment, essentially.

But this is only possible by allowing oneself to feel more deeply, and to be plunged into the full-depths of what is Calling to be Experienced.  It is the Highest Honoring of that Calling.  And for most of us, facing the dark depths of what is possible is just too much, or untimely, and so the full Experience of things is quite often blunted, muted, or shaven, relative to what it could be.  That is entirely understandable.  These things, experienced before we are ready, do indeed have an ablity to schism us; as they are truly overwhelming.   But in terms of Balancing, getting to the very bottom of these feelings and emotions is the key to Integration.  And some wells of depth seem to keep going and going.  So this is very much the dedicated work of a lifetime, if one desires to move towards truer Balance.

Ra’s Thoughts on ‘becoming unswayed’ (42.2)

Ra: I am Ra. This is an incorrect application of the balancing which we have discussed.

The exercise of first experiencing feelings and then consciously discovering their antitheses within the being has as its objective not the smooth flow of feelings both positive and negative while remaining unswayed but rather the objective of becoming unswayed.

This is a simpler result and takes much practice, shall we say.

And here are their Thoughts on the usage of third-density Catalyst, and what it means to be a Co-Creator.

The catalyst of experience works in order for the learn/teachings of this density to occur.

However, if there is seen in the being a response, even if it is simply observed, the entity is still using the catalyst for learn/teaching. The end result is that the catalyst is no longer needed. Thus this density is no longer needed.

This is not indifference or objectivity but a finely tuned compassion and love which sees all things as love.

This seeing elicits no response due to catalytic reactions. Thus the entity is now able to become co-Creator of experiential occurrences. This is the truer balance.

Again, truly beautifully said.

Rotational Speeds, and ‘overall balance’

Each of the energy centres has it’s own level of ‘activation’, which can be seen in some sort of ‘measurable sense’, by it’s rotational speed, which is then witnessed as a kind of ‘shining’ or brilliancy of color.  My understanding (as explained above) is that the 7 Energy Centers represent domains of mental activity, and thus encapsulate various biases that have developed over time.  We can definitely work in one of those Domains (ie, one of the 7 chakras) more than others, and thus greater development ensues over time.

The quote on Rotational Speeds:

41.19 Questioner: Thank you. In yesterday’s, or the day before yesterday’s session, you mentioned variable speed of rotation or activity of energy centers. What did you mean by that, speed of rotation?

Ra: I am Ra. Each energy center has a wide range of rotational speed or as you may see it more clearly in relation to color, brilliance. The more strongly the will of the entity concentrates upon and refines or purifies each energy center, the more brilliant or rotationally active each energy center will be.

It is not necessary for the energy centers to be activated in order in the case of the self-aware entity.

Thusly entities may have extremely brilliant energy centers while being quite unbalanced in their violet-ray aspect due to lack of attention paid to the totality of experience of the entity.

This fascinating Answer then continues on into the description of ‘overall Balance’, as best seen in the violet-ray center.  This ‘overall’ Balance speaks to the relative Balance between the energy centers, as was touched upon in a Section already previous.

But it’s through being open and unprejudiced towards Experiences in our real lives that we find the fuel for this Balance; and from which the fruit and the biases can be garnered.  Life, as always, will supply us with the appropriate mirror.  We will always be able to see ourselves more clearly, if we just allow ourselves to.

The key to balance may then be seen in the unstudied, spontaneous, and honest response of entities toward experiences, thus using experience to the utmost, then applying the balancing exercises and achieving the proper attitude for the most purified spectrum of energy center manifestation in violet ray.

This is why the brilliance or rotational speed of the energy centers is not considered above the balanced aspect or violet-ray manifestation of an entity in regarding harvestability; for those entities which are unbalanced, especially as to the primary rays, will not be capable of sustaining the impact of the love and light of intelligent infinity to the extent necessary for harvest.

Working with Approval/Disapproval

One of the things which really propelled me on my spiritual Journey, when I fully comprehended it, was coming to grips with the Approval/Disapproval Mechanism.

I think we are all familiar with the Concept of Opposites.  One of the most commonly given examples is that of patience/impatience.  On the one hand, we have Patience, which is seen as a relative virtue; and then we have Impatience; which is commonly regarded as being a negative or undesirable trait.

One can appreciate this Dipole or Dichotomy.

This is the first level of the Recognition of Opposites, or Balance.

Ra speaks here of Mental Discipline, and the Polarity of Opposites (5.2):

To begin to master the concept of mental discipline it is necessary to examine the self. The polarity of your dimension must be internalized.

Where you find patience within your mind you must consciously find the corresponding impatience and vice versa. Each thought that a being has, has in its turn an antithesis.

The truly insightful part, for me, comes next, and speaks to the Approval/Disapproval Mechanism.  It was through Working through this that I truly started clearing out my Heart Imbalances, and addressed many internal notions of superiority, disaffection with the World, and silent withdrawal from Others.

This, for me, unlocked a magical Doorway into Communion; where I could truly share my Heart-Space with Others; in true mutuality.

The disciplines of the mind involve, first of all, identifying both those things of which you approve and those things of which you disapprove within yourself, and then balancing each and every positive and negative charge with its equal.

The mind contains all things. Therefore, you must discover this completeness within yourself.

The last line is also extremely potent. If the mind contains all things, and is already complete, then we can accept each portion of ourselves with Equal Measure.  The need for Preference can then just fall away, and we can witness everything that arises as part of the One Beingness, and all portions are equally loved and acknowledged.  One is then Dancing within the Field of Universality.  That is what happens when one can be in Love with EVERYTHING.

Though comprehending this Approval/Disapproval mechanism we can dismantle the walls that we have put up around our Hearts.  We can then move more steadfastly towards True Equality with all Other-Selves.  There is nothing to approve of (or disapprove of, for that matter), and so Acceptance and Love is the Experience.  That’s the heart chakra: universality of love.
